Daouda Cissé is an independent researcher based in Montreal, Canada. He was a postdoctoral research fellow at the China Institute, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada and at the Centre for Chinese Studies, University of Stellenbosch, South Africa. His research explores China’s domestic and overseas political economy with a particular interest in Africa-China relations.
