Dayan Jayatilleka was until recently Sri Lanka’s ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Russian Federation. He has also served as ambassador to France and Unesco, and ambassador/permanent representative to the UN at Geneva. He was a vice-president of the UN Human Rights Council and Chairperson of the Governing body of the ILO.
