Shea Galicer graduated with high honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2025, earning degrees in Sociology and Philosophy, a minor in Applied Psychology, and a certification in Technology Management. During his studies at Santa Barbara, his research examined the intersection of racial category formation and 20th-century American housing policy, exploring how these frameworks institutionalized the connection between race, place, and wealth. Shea's current interests center on the nexus of policy, technology, and governance; he is specifically focused on developing software to drive effective, accountable government and advancing the ethical implementation of AI within the public sector.
